On the morning of March 21, 2026, Academician Wu Zhengzhi (Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Engineering Sciences, nominated in 2025 as a Foreign Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an Academician of the Eurasian International Academy of Sciences) and his delegation visited Zhejiang Tianyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. for inspection and guidance. The visiting guests included Professor Luo Wenhua, Deputy Director of the University Affairs Committee of Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Vocational University, Ruan Hongsheng, Dean of the School of Chinese Materia Medica, and He Junyao, Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Biotechnology and the School of Cosmetics. Huang Bisheng, Chairman of Tianyuan Biotechnology, and Jiao Mingming, General Manager, warmly received them and accompanied them throughout the visit.

At the start of the visit, guided by Chairman Huang Bisheng and General Manager Jiao Mingming, Academician Wu Zhengzhi and his delegation toured the company's science and technology exhibition hall and core laboratories. In the exhibition hall, the delegation learned in detail about Tianyuan Biotechnology's development history, technology layout, and future vision, and expressed high recognition of the company's original aspiration and achievements in deeply cultivating the biotechnology field—particularly commending the remarkable fact that its iPS cardiomyocytes have reached an internationally leading level. In the laboratory, the delegation observed key processes such as cell culture and quality testing on site, experiencing firsthand the company's hardcore strength in cell technology R&D and application.

At the subsequent symposium, General Manager Jiao Mingming first gave a presentation themed "The Development Blueprint for the Next Three Years," detailing Tianyuan Biotechnology's strategic planning and business pipeline in the cell technology field. He noted that the company has entered a new stage of development: building on cell storage services and medical testing, it will persist in cell therapy technology and cell therapy drug R&D, striving to become a leading science and technology enterprise in the cell industry. Chairman Huang Bisheng then focused on the diversified applications of cell technology. Combining market demand with industry trends, and relying on the National Stem Cell Translational Resource Bank, he proposed building a GMP super cell factory and a clinical translation center, and suggested that cell technology can form differentiated advantages in fields such as medical aesthetics and anti-aging, sub-health conditioning, and adjunctive intervention for chronic diseases. He emphasized that "the application of technology must be premised on safety and centered on clinical value"—a view that resonated strongly with the delegation.
Academician Wu Zhengzhi introduced his team's remarkable scientific and technological achievements. He has presided over and led more than 50 research projects of various types, including the 973 Program, the 863 Program, National Science and Technology Key Projects, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has received the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award (Natural Sciences) from the State Education Commission, published more than 300 papers in core professional journals at home and abroad, including over 80 TOP/Q1 papers, with a total impact factor exceeding 900 and an H-index of 41. Academician Wu's main research focuses on precision geriatric medicine, centered on three directions: molecular diagnostics and precision medicine, innovative drugs and traditional Chinese medicine health products, and intelligent medical robots. He fully affirmed Tianyuan Biotechnology's research achievements, noting that the company has reached a leading domestic level in iPS cell technology, demonstrating its professionalism and forward-looking vision in the biotechnology field. The two sides then engaged in in-depth discussions on the development directions of cell anti-aging, precision medicine, and medical testing applications, generating many innovative ideas—from technical pathways to market prospects, and from research breakthroughs to industrial translation.

The core outcome of this visit was the deep consensus reached between the two sides on university-enterprise cooperation. Academician Wu Zhengzhi, together with Professor Luo Wenhua and Deans Ruan Hongsheng and He Junyao, jointly proposed leveraging the universities' disciplinary strengths in pharmacy, bioengineering, and cosmetics R&D to carry out cooperation with Tianyuan Biotechnology in several key areas: First, joint talent cultivation—supplying professional talent to the enterprise through dual employment by university and enterprise and the establishment of internship bases; Second, joint technological research—forming interdisciplinary research teams to tackle key technical challenges in precision medicine testing, cell anti-aging, and plant exosomes, and to jointly apply for major national research projects; Third, sharing of achievements—promoting the translation of research results from Academician Wu's team and the universities into Tianyuan Biotechnology and related industrial projects, so as to maximize the social and economic benefits of research achievements while empowering the company's rapid development and the universities' disciplinary development.

In the future, Tianyuan Biotechnology will take this visit as an opportunity to continue deepening cooperation with Academician Wu Zhengzhi's team and Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Vocational University. Through industry-academia-research integration, it will open up the full chain of "technology R&D – achievement translation – market application," injecting lasting momentum into the company's own development and contributing to the technological progress and standardized development of the cell anti-aging and precision medicine industries, thereby supporting the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.
